First Line (concept)
|
Thoughts, ideas, fascinations, motives, desires and personal and art history are
blended, stirred, molded, and experimented with until they become a
concept that becomes a plan to be worked out through the process of
creating.

As what will be the idea begins
to coagulate from the ether a first draft, writing, with quick thumbnail
and loose sketches lays out the possibilities. I usually perform this part with ink and fine point felt tip pens in smallish smooth sketchbooks.

The "story" is further developed
with pencil drawings and the placement of scenes worked out and arranged
within panels, and the number of painting panels required is
determined.
